7-Year-Old (believed to be) Approx 9HH unregistered Shetland Gelding
George has been in the same loving home for several years as a companion pony and is totally wasted. Last year he was broken in and did a few pony club rallies and junior pony club camp on the lead rein. Also did lots of hacking out and a little bit in the school off the lead (the video of my son riding him in the school is last summer and maybe his 4th time off the lead rein).
He has been a field ornament for the last year, so is currently looking for a new home from the field. My friend is looking for a straightforward, hassle-free transaction.
George is good to handle in general, but we want to be completely honest that he can be a little monkey to catch with a headcollar. That said, he’ll happily follow a bucket into the stable and will follow other horses in, so his new owner will just need to be mindful of this. When in a routine he is much better.
This is a genuinely sad situation and finding George the very best family is far more important than anything else. Please, serious enquiries only and no time wasters. He is not a ready made kids pony so we are looking for someone who realises he is a sweetheart and loves attention but still a project.
