Boy Browning (BB) is now looking for his next home, where someone can continue his education and fulfil the huge potential he has shown.
BB is a lovely young horse with all the attributes to make an RoR horse. He has an exceptional attitude to his work, genuinely enjoys having a job and is an honest, willing and straightforward ride.
One of BB’s greatest strengths is his outstanding temperament under saddle. He is easy to mount, impeccably behaved on the roads and hacks confidently both alone and in company. He is happy to leave or be left by other horses without becoming anxious and even after several weeks – or sometimes months – out of work, he remains sensible enough to simply tack up and ride, with no need for lunging or special preparation.
He has competed successfully in dressage at Kelsall, Reaseheath and Tushingham, consistently producing pleasing tests and coming home in the ribbons. He is ready to start competing affiliated dressage and work his way up the levels. We really see him as a dressage / show horse as such beautiful paces, great natural rhythm and the attitude to win.
He has also been out show jumping, where he continues to gain confidence and experience. With regular schooling and a confident rider, there is no doubt he has plenty more to offer.
BB has made an excellent start to his eventing career, finishing 2nd in his first BE80, highlighting the exciting potential he has for the future. He has schooled cross-country at Somerford Park and Kelsall, confidently tackling a wide variety of fences and has attended both polework and show jumping clinics, always behaving well.
RoR registered, BB qualified for the 2026 RoR Championships at Osberton at BE90. Unfortunately, due to his owners’ commitments, he was unable to attend. We genuinely believe he has the quality and versatility to excel across multiple disciplines. With his presence, movement and athleticism, he has all the ingredients to make a top-class RoR show horse, with the potential to be highly competitive in RIHS and HOYS qualifiers in the right hands.
He is good to shoe, good with the dentist and loads well. A 5-stage vetting from when his current owners purchased him is available to view, and he is open to any vetting or inspection.
Honesty is extremely important to us, so prospective buyers should be aware that BB can be grumpy around food and in the stable. He may pull faces and can threaten to bite, so he does require a confident and competent handler on the ground. This has never caused any issues while he has been with us, but we feel it is important to be completely transparent.
Importantly, this behaviour is never reflected under saddle. When ridden, BB is kind, genuine and uncomplicated and always trys his best.
This is a quality young horse with an exceptional brain, a fantastic attitude to his work and an exciting future ahead. Whether your ambitions lie in RoR showing, grassroots eventing, Working Hunter classes or simply producing a talented all-round competition horse, BB has all the raw ability to go a very long way with the right person.
